Hatha Yoga; the basic, classic style of yoga is the most widely practiced form of yoga in the west. It is the branch of yoga which concentrates on physical health and mental well-being. Hatha yoga uses bodily postures (asanas), breathing techniques (pranayama), and meditation (dyana) with the goal of bringing about a sound, healthy body and a clear, peaceful mind.
Ashtanga Yoga; a dynamic style, based in Hatha yoga, in which breathing is synchronised with movement between postures; it encourages profuse sweating to purify and detoxify and it produces strength, flexibility, and stamina.
Vinyasa Flow Yoga; Vinyasa means “breath-synchronized movement,” and Vinyasa yoga is a series of poses that will move you through the power of inhaling and exhaling. Vinyasa movements are smoothly flowing and almost dance-like, have both mental and physical benefits. Physically, sweat expels toxins and re-energizes your body. Mentally, the synchronised breathing relaxes your mind and helps to release any blockage of energy flow throughout your body.
Hot (Bikram) Yoga; is a series of 26 Hatha Yoga postures performing in a heated room, is amazing for weight loss, building muscle tone, improving the lymphatic system and flushing out toxins, improving immunity, relieving stress and building inner confidence.
Yin Yoga; based on Chinese Meridian Theory, is a quite, still style of yoga practice. Initially called “Daoist” yoga, this style of yoga targets the deep connective tissues of the body (vs. the superficial tissues) and the fascia that covers the body; this Daoist yoga is to help regulate the flow of energy in the body.
